Using an External GPS Receiver
Topo Maps+ uses whatever location your device provides, so it works with Bluetooth GPS receivers. A receiver is the easiest way to get GPS on a Wi-Fi-only iPad, which doesn't have a GPS chip.
How to use a GPS receiver on iPhone and iPad
Use a receiver made for iPhone and iPad (an Apple MFi accessory), such as Bad Elf, Dual, or Garmin GLO.
- Pair the receiver with your iPhone or iPad in Settings > Bluetooth, or in the receiver's companion app.
- Turn the receiver on and open Topo Maps+.
iOS uses the receiver's location automatically. There's nothing to change in Topo Maps+.
